Zopiclone Tablets – Overview
Zopiclone is a prescription-only sleep aid belonging to a class of drugs called non-benzodiazepine hypnotics (also known as “Z-drugs”). It is commonly prescribed for short-term treatment of insomnia, particularly when difficulty falling asleep or frequent nighttime waking is present.
While structurally different from benzodiazepines, Zopiclone works similarly by enhancing the action of GABA, a calming neurotransmitter in the brain, resulting in sedation, relaxation, and sleep induction.
